lest we forget ...

It's ANZAC day and quite appropriately pouring with rain. In an unusual twist of events its 6 am and I am out of bed, awake. So I thought I would take this moment to divulge some of my favourite military moments from the s/s 2010 catwalks. Marching on ...

it's a ginger thing.

Anne of Green Gables was my hero when I was younger. Being a redhead myself I could sympathise with all her hair issues, and self doubts. While being an independent female, I loved her never say never attitude. Since then I have always had a soft spot for a tinge of ginge. Which is why I bring you my photographic tribute to Taylor Tomasi Hill (Style and accessories Director of US Marie Claire). The following images have been "borrowed" from my stalking of many different blogs and websites that I know longer know who to credit. through the looking glass

Who doesn't like seeing how the other half live, or work? Where they create is the brainchild of Paul Barbera - a photographer of interiors - this is a site dedicated to creative spaces. In a similar vein to the selby, Paul enters the world of artists and designers alike and photographs their spaces. Plenty of hours of entertainment to be had salivating over cool creatives in their natural habits. Enjoy.

who will love you?

Where second hand finds are concerned the thrill of the chase has never been high on my list of "favourite things to do". It doesn't even pop up on my list of "things to do". Just the thought of rummaging through piles of musty, smelly rags that when you touch them permeate an oil on your fingers that can only be the result of years of sweat (somebody else's) and who knows what else in order to find an unbelievable, rare, amazingly well preserved piece of clothing (devoid of aforementioned sweat and general grossness) is enough to make me develop a weird itchy rash. I'm much more a fan of the second hand clothing store. Enter Hannah and Elvi of the loved one, a duo specialising in vintage curation and consultation. These two bowerbirds have set up a store where you can purchase fabulous vintage fashion finds they have lovingly collected. The pieces are all beautifully photographed modeled on the gorgeous Hannah and ... best bit of all... able to be purchased online. Genius.

It's not you, it's me ... well maybe it is you

I should warn you from the outset that there is not a lot of rhyme nor reason to my thoughts on this blog. Any opinions that I might staunchly argue one moment I could (and most likely will) completely contradict myself the next word I utter. I promise nothing more than another opinion in the sea of voices on the net.
